Joe & Bella is more than a clothing line; the brand brings dignity, independence, and style to its end-users through high-quality, thoughtfully designed apparel. Customers experience immediate joy, while family caregivers are freed from the stress and strain of the dressing process. No wonder Macy’s recently selected Joe & Bella as its second-ever adaptive-apparel brand partner.

Founders Bio

Jimmy Zollo (Co-founder/CEO) is a former member of GrubHub’s startup team, where he helped to drive initial growth through their IPO. After GrubHub, Jimmy co-founded Collaborata—a consumer data company that worked closely with Disney, Reebok, Target, the NBA, and more—as well as the Multicultural Insights Collective.

Origin Story

Joe & Bella was founded because of a family caregiving journey. Cofounder Jimmy Zollo witnessed firsthand the pain, strain, and stress associated with dressing and undressing for older adults with mobility and cognitive changes. His grandmother experienced more pain when getting dressed than at any other time of day. Even common conditions like arthritis or back pain can severely impact dressing independence.

Jimmy also discovered a surprising lack of premium, modern options for today's aging adults. His grandmother refused to wear any available adaptive clothing, exclaiming, "They're all too ugly!" She was right, and Joe & Bella emerged from this crucial insight.

Joe & Bella is named after two special individuals whose strength of character and sense of humor inspired and comforted the founders' family during one unforgettable evening more than a decade ago. Read the full story here.
