Founders Bio
Jon Levinson is a technology leader known for pairing operational rigor with product excellence across more than a decade building transformative consumer and logistics products. He was the first product hire on Uber Direct, helping grow it into a billion‑dollar global operation, and held product leadership roles at Blue Apron, Pillar, and TripAdvisor. He earned a BA in international relations from Tufts University and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Ian Gillis is a seasoned engineering leader who led multiple new platform initiatives at Uber, led a 220-person engineering team at Restaurant Brands International, and held roles at Meta and Addepar. He founded Viri to help employees reduce carbon impact. A Carnegie Mellon CS graduate, he specializes in high-scale, mission-driven products and lives in Miami.
Origin Story
Initially inspired by the challenges Jon faced seeking quality care for his father, we started Clara, a home care marketplace and compliance platform, growing it to cover all of California. After working closely in parallel with agencies and experiencing the same acquisition and operational challenges they faced, we decided to build Sage, a B2B platform leveraging the AI technology we first built to power Clara, automating communication and core operations so owners run tighter, more profitable businesses.
