About Us

EatLove, San Francisco-based, AI-powered nutrition platform founded in 2015, transforms personalized health through Nutrition Intelligence® technology. After more than 3 years of R&D, the now profitable company built a fully validated computational model powering precision nutrition solutions for 97% of health conditions and eating patterns.

Partnering with respected health systems, employers, retailers, and sports teams, EatLove delivers what users describe as "Spotify for food", personalized meal recommendations adapting to individual health needs, preferences, and lifestyles. Unlike generic nutrition apps, the platform eliminates meal planning guesswork through clinical-grade recommendations and consumer-friendly access.

The platform addresses a critical healthcare gap where 67% of patients request individualized nutrition guidance from providers. For individuals, EatLove delivers AI-powered meal recommendations, customized recipes, smart restaurant options, and streamlined grocery planning and delivery that save time while supporting specific health goals. Solutions go beyond basic dietary preferences to account for complex medical conditions and lifestyle constraints.

Healthcare practitioners benefit from professional-grade tools that scale nutrition interventions without sacrificing quality. Advanced engagement features help providers build stronger patient relationships and satisfaction.

EatLove differentiates itself through unprecedented personalization and comprehensiveness. Where competitors offer basic meal suggestions, EatLove provides end-to-end nutrition support from initial assessment through ongoing monitoring and adjustment.

The company's mission centers on making evidence-based nutrition solutions accessible and affordable for all populations. With nearly a decade of development and a proven track record with industry-leading partners, EatLove addresses the growing demand for personalized healthcare solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Origin Story

Through grant-funded research in 2014, we studied 70 diverse DC families to understand barriers to healthy eating. Our findings revealed that generic nutrition advice failed and that families needed intelligent, personalized guidance that adapted to their unique circumstances. This research breakthrough led us to develop AI-enabled Nutrition Intelligence® technology that learns and adapts from individual preferences, schedules, and constraints.

With 90% of initial participants recommending our personalized approach, we had validated the foundation of EatLove.
