About
Villages are neighborhood groups of Older Adults that support each other, organize volunteer services and social events for their members. Helpful Village is the Online Platform that makes it easy to organize this Social Network of purposeful Seniors. We are already serving tens of thousands in more than 100 Villages in 26 States. We help Seniors to help themselves and age in their own homes.
Founders Bio
Manuel Acevedo is the CEO of Helpful Village, a UC-Berkeley Startup.
Manuel received a MSc. in Computer Science (Comm. Syst.) from EPFL Lausanne (Switzerland) and he founded an award-winning Startup in Switzerland. He was also Project Manager of multiple projects (including the Online Voting system for the State of Geneva).
Manuel teaches Age-Friendly Environments at the USC School of Gerontology.
