Bio

Elise Downes is the Community Programming Manager for the AgeTech Collaborative™ from AARP, the world’s largest innovation ecosystem advancing AgeTech by making aging easier for everyone. Utilizing her passion for building community and creating impactful shared experiences, Elise plans and develops programs and events for the growing AgeTech ecosystem to connect, engage, and share insights, and oversees content strategy and CX for the AgeTech Collaborative online community platform. 

With over a decade of experience creating, planning, and managing high-visibility programs and events at the intersection of technology, government, and innovation, Elise has collaborated with members of Congress, Presidential appointees, Fortune 500 executives, and leading technology companies while in roles at CTIA – The Wireless Association, the International Monetary Fund, and Scoop News Group, a Washington-DC based tech media company. 

Elise holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Hospitality Business Management from University of Delaware and Certificate in Project Management from Georgetown University. She is also a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and Digital Event Strategist (DES). When she’s not fostering connections and generating meaningful collective moments for ATC participants, Elise can be found tasting her way around the best restaurants in Washington, DC and beyond.
