Hively is an end-end online destination for active older adults transitioning into retirement. Members can exchange peer ideas and support in discussion forums, find quality guidance in a marketplace of vetted experts, easily discover opportunities for work / volunteering / new hobbies, and even receive recommendations on a personalized diagnostic tool powered by AI, all anchored on the foundation of a strong peer community of others navigating a similar life transition.
Towards this vision, our initial solution is virtual hives of older adults that meet virtually over facilitated sessions to exchange peer support, find tools, and access a network of vetted resources. We are creating the mass-market alternative to retirement coaching via a tech-enabled solution.
Founders Bio
Angela Gu (Co-Founder, CEO) has deep operations and strategy experience from Apple, Bain, and 3 start-ups (Modern Fertility, Anomalie, Rise). Angela has a BA in Economics & CS from Dartmouth, and MBA from Harvard.
Jenn Kim (Co-Founder, CPO) has experience in tech and product strategy from Accenture and Samsung working with designers and engineers to bring products to life. Jenn has a BA in Psychology & Sociology from Wellesley, and Master’s in Design Engineering from Harvard.
