QE aims to bring high-quality eyecare to the nearly 200 million Americans who need it. Our digital eye exam – built on top of scalable technology like smartphones and laptops – will ultimately provide fast, accurate insights into patients’ eye health and refractive status. By catching vision problems at their earliest stages, QE hopes to dramatically improve eyecare access and outcomes.
Founders Bio
Quinn Wang, MD \ co-founder and CEO
Dr. Wang is a UCSF-trained cataract surgeon and 2x Duke alum (BA, MD) who has published papers in leading journals (e.g. Ophthalmology,) designed and implemented a randomized clinical control trial, and pioneered bilateral cataract surgery in private practice.
Kristine Yoshihara \ co-founder and CTO
Kristine is a 2x founder who graduated from UC Berkeley with degrees (BA, MS) in Biology, History, and Information Science. She has authored academic papers in data mining and computer science, piloted studies in computational cancer research and evolutionary genetics, and shorted the fastest market crash in history.
