We leverage AI to best match patients and physicians, helping to prevent unnecessary ED visits and improve care through integrated smart devices. Since launch in 2020, we’ve onboarded 300+ doctors to provide care to 500,000+ patients across North America.
Founders Bio
Dr. William Cherniak is an emergency physician with a background in family medicine and global public health. He is the founder and CEO of RD. His work has appeared in the NYT for cloud-based tele-radiology in East Africa. He earned an MPH at Johns Hopkins and completed a cancer fellowship at the NIH. Dr. Cherniak has taught at top universities and published research in NEJM, The Lancet, and more.
Origin Story
Dr. Cherniak’s tech journey began in Uganda, using remote devices to serve marginalized communities. Domestically, he saw tech’s potential to reduce ER visits, particularly for underserved communities. Expanding to tech-enabled virtual care during the COVID-19 pandemic, co-founders joined, patients were seen virtually, proving the model’s value. Capital was raised, tech developed, and RD grew.
