Founders Bio
Sumit is a serial entrepreneur focused on health and safety innovation at scale. He has founded and grown five companies over the past three decades that have tackled progressively bolder challenges facing our healthcare economies. All his work features common themes—a big, bold vision that helps us imagine a better world; moonshot technology innovation that disrupts how things have been to create how they can be; complexity designed out of user experiences to blend into people’s daily lives; and business models that make such change practical—themes he has honed since the time Sumit worked with Steve Jobs and NeXT in the early 1990s.
Sumit is a lifelong learner, a big thinker who is also immensely technical to live deep in the details, an abundant leader, and a self-described “super optimistic badass.” These qualities have helped him build a team that spans three companies and has the cohesion to make the impossible possible.
Origin Story
We created Cherish a scant 5 years ago with a vision for a moonshot, frustrated by the lack of innovation to help us remain independent and maintain our dignity as we and our loved ones age or live with health challenges.
