As 2023 gets underway, we here at the AgeTech Collaborative™ (ATC) have begun looking back at all the exciting endeavors we were involved with in 2022. As we’ve pursued our mission to advance the AgeTech category, we’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of incredible people and organizations who are as devoted as we are to helping those who are 50-plus live their best lives. We’ve come so far, so fast — it’s hard to believe we officially launched less than a year ago!
Here are just some of our highlights and milestones from the past year:
- 31 AgeTech startups completed the AgeTech Collaborative™ accelerator program and graduated into the Collaborative as full-fledged participants.
- 69 testbed, investor and other non-startup organizations joined the ATC, significantly extending the scope of our ecosystem.
- More than a dozen fruitful connections were made between ATC participant organizations, resulting in fundings and commercial deals.
- We attended (whether virtually or in person) an array of industry-wide events, including CES 2022, ViVE 2022, DC Startup Week and HLTH 2022.
- Our Design Thinking team held nine hands-on workshops and seminars with ATC participant organizations.
- Our Resource Library added dozens of videos on topics ranging from 2022 Tech Trends and the 50-Plus to Design Thinking 101 — along with links to research from AARP and other organizations on topics related to the 50-plus demographic.
- The ATC blog added more than 60 new posts, including profiles of ATC participants, contest and award announcements, expert tips for startups, and much more. We also started a weekly newsletter and launched a news service.
Here’s a by-the-numbers visual roundup of some additional highlights:
We wish everyone a peaceful holiday season, and we’ll see you next year!
