We are excited to launch the AgeTech Collaborative™ from AARP, an online B2B community platform bringing together the AgeTech Ecosystem to help support innovative solutions and move the needle on solving the most pressing issues as we age.
Where We Started
AARP Innovation Labs was originally founded to create innovative products and solutions for aging issues. Some of the many products that came out of the Innovation Labs at this time included:
- HomeFit AR™ - a solution that leverages augmented reality technology to check homes for accessibility improvements
- Let’s Be Well - a collection of curated wellness boxes that empower people living with chronic conditions to live their best lives
- AARP Perks™ - an internet browser extension that offers consumers reminders of AARP resources, discounts, and more as they browse online and visit sites with related information and products
- Alcove - a virtual reality app that allows families and friends to connect and create new memories in Alcove’s virtual living room.
Our Accelerator
The Innovation Labs is now using that same product expertise to benefit startups.in an accelerator model. Today, our team discovers the most disruptive startups from across the country and offers a variety of services at no cost to startups. These services include UX/UI design consulting, business strategy, marketing strategy, user testings, and product/market fit analysis. AARP Innovation Labs can also provide investment opportunities for early-stage startups. Our goal is to use our knowledge of the 50+ consumer to give startups in the AgeTech space a competitive edge.
The AgeTech Collaborative™
We know that startups can’t do it alone, and that the entire AgeTech ecosystem needs to work together to meet the needs of the 50+ consumer. This is why we launched the Collaborative, where we are convening disruptive startups, forward-thinking investors, creative testbeds, and leading enterprises to generate big new ideas and send thriving products into what’s now an $8 trillion longevity economy.
