What’s Next Academy & Longevity Venture Summit Competition
AgeTech Collaborative™ participant Mary Furlong & Associates is on a mission to create instructive environments that underscore a key aspect of positive aging — lifelong learning. We are pleased to announce a pair of opportunities sponsored by MFA: the What’s Next Longevity Business Academy, and the What’s Next Longevity Venture Summit and Business Plan Competition.
What Is the What’s Next Academy?
The 3rd annual What's Next Longevity Business Academy is a master class featuring in-depth presentations and discussions led by experts to help longevity entrepreneurs develop the practical skills necessary for success.
In weekly online sessions, thought leaders in longevity sectors including home care, senior living, nonprofits, investors, entrepreneurs and government agencies share their best practices, go-to-market strategies and the lessons they’ve learned in their own journeys. Each session includes a live Q&A segment with a top business reporter in aging and offers attendees the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters.
The academy launches on April 5, 2022, with six weekly online courses every Tuesday. Check out this page for more information, and use promo code FOM20 to get a 20% discount on registration.
What Is the What’s Next Longevity Summit and Competition?
The What’s Next Longevity Venture Summit is the first, and one of the most significant, gatherings of venture capitalists, angel investors, entrepreneurs and corporate executives focused on the longevity economy. Attracting more than 300 leaders in the fields of aging and health, it is the place where forward-thinking entrepreneurs and VCs meet to create innovative products and services for the global longevity marketplace.
The 2022 summit runs June 7–8 and will feature a Business Plan Competition, which offers a $10,000 prize for the best business plan focusing on the future of care for older adults, including products, services and technologies that consider the impact of caregiver worker shortages, as well as chronic disease management, hearing care, mobility and innovations that enable quality-of-life improvements for older adults.
Finalists compete for the $10,000 prize by presenting their boomer business plans before a panel of judges composed of leaders in the field of aging and the venture capital community.
If you have a business plan or start-up targeting the longevity market, you’re invited to learn more and enter your business plan for the 2022 competition here and here. The application deadline is April 28, 2022. Use promo code FOM20 to receive a 20% registration discount.
