  • Massachusetts Medicaid Challenge: Revolutionizing Home-Based Care

    The Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI) is seeking digital health companies who are developing and validating remote patient monitoring (RPM) solutions that support community-dwelling older adults with behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) to participate in the Massachusetts Medicaid Challenge: Revolutionizing Home-Based CareMeHI launched this Challenge to identify digital health solutions that can provide remote monitoring of older adults who have BPSD and who are at risk for adverse health outcomes and inadequate access to healthcare because of racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic factors. 

     

    Applicants from across the U.S. can apply for this Challenge. A group of external expert reviewers will evaluate applicants and recommend 3-6 companies to participate in a one-day virtual workshop and pitch prep sessions. The Challenge will culminate in a virtual final pitch competition where the selected companies will pitch before a panel of expert judges. One winner will be selected to pilot their solution with members of the WellSense Senior Care Options (SCO) plan, an opportunity valued at $50,000. The pilot will be supported by a collaboration of two of MeHI’s Digital Health SandboxesUMass Chan Medical School (UMCMS) and UMass Lowell (UML). 

    Applications are due March 8.
